What's up?
I haven't blogged in quite a while. I've been devoting more time and energy into my business. Guess what? It's paying off!
The main thing that's making the most difference is following up on leads. I have a system now where I get my students to bring their friends to class. I've done this for a while but now I've given them some incentive. If they bring someone this month they are in the running for a $100 dollar bill.
The guest fills out a Buddy Day pass. I have always sent them a thank you note but now I make sure to get it out to them the next day, followed shortly by a nice "Thanks for letting your kid come to our school" letter. ( Thanks Em!) They are also put on my new motivational monthly email message list and most have gotten the one on "Goals vs Dreams." (Again, Em being my editor) And if I still haven't hooked them, I just sent out a handout for a recent class I held on dealing with bullies called "Mental Self Defense"
Anyway, all that plus planning really great classes and going out on the floor with new found enthusiam has resulted in a big influx of students. I even got a glowing recommendation from that lawyer guy who insinuated that he was going to sue me over some important changes to my Black Belt program; two new students there.
It's great to see results. I'm also listening to Wayne Dyer on the power of intentions. There is something too that. So I just keep saying "I have a succesful, well run martial arts school with 200 paying students." That's it, that's whats happening!

That's very good news indeed. I'm glad!
That's awesome! The rich always say "You have to dream it to live it!" I'm glad things are going great with the school and that the reason for your absence is a positive one.

I am glad the school is going well and having those physical reminders that they can have an instructor who cares must make a large difference. I am curious what martial art, but I guess I haven't read back far enough - or rather is it one with a wheelchair classification (Judo, Tae-Kwon-do, ??). You know how I like taking it easy.
