"She wants you"

I had a great day Friday. I dropped my kids off at Disneyland then bought some new running shoes and a Booge Board. I got a bunch of work done and promised myself that if I finished my to-do list at a reasonable time I would go Boogie Boarding, which I did. Then I went to my coming out support group. It was a good meeting.

We follow along with people from week to week on any gay experiences that come up for us. Nadeen has been talking about this woman she met who she really connected with. So much so that when meeting at a coffee shop, they got so engaged in a conversation that they ended up talking for over six hours! The other woman was calling her, emailing her etc and said things that led Nadeen to believe that there was an attraction there. Nadeen finally confeses her attraction and the other woman says that Nadeen was mistaken. She didn't feel this way herself and that it went against God's plan. She now says she can't see Nadeen any longer because Nadeen is too intense and makes her feel uncomfortable so Nadeen drops it.

The other woman can't let it go. She keeps emailing Nadeen. Nadeen is puzzled by this behavior. It gets quiet for a bit then I just pop up and say "She wants you!" "What?" says Nadeen then many other chime in and agree with me saying how obvious it is. Nadeen says "but what about the 'God's plan' thing?" I tell her she dosen't WANT to want you but she does and it's bugging her big time. Again others pipe in agreeing with me and explaining the concept a bit more. Nadeen gets this big smile on her face. You can see that this finally makes sense to her and she gets it.

Not that Nadeen has a chance with this woman. I suspect, from what I've heard over the last few months, that this woman is nowhere near coming to terms with this. She's going to fight and protest and tell Nadeen things to make Nadeen feel like she must have been crazy! That cozy blanket of self denial can be very comforting.

The rest of the weekend was fun and busy. Tennis with eduardo Saturday morning followed by another boogie board session with daughter, boy and girl. Pizza and lazing around with em reading a book. Today was kayaking followed by dinner on the beach with a local lesbian social group. Tomorrow I'm going back for another Boot Camp session so I'll be getting bossed around in the name of fitness for the next 4 weeks. Must go to bed now. Soooooo tired but, you know, good tired.
